2007 Toyota Matrix Overview
Introduction
The Toyota Matrix combines the style and fun of a sport coupe with the utility of a small sport utility at the price of a compact.
Toyota Matrix is available in two trim lines: the standard Matrix and XR. It is front-wheel-drive and is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 126 horsepower. Safety is enhanced by ordering optional side curtain and seat-mounted side-impact airbags. The available Vehicle Stability Control virtually eliminates skidding. Optional anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution can help the driver maintain steering control in an emergency braking situation.
For 2007, the Toyota Matrix is no longer available in XRS trim and all-wheel-drive.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
