2007 Subaru Forester Overview
Introduction
The Subaru Forester is a crossover vehicle that combines some of the best attributes of a sport-utility vehicle with the ride and driving dynamics of a car.
The Forester comes in three variants: base 2.5X, upscale 2.5X L.L.Bean Edition and sporty 2.5XT. Two of the three variants are powered by a 173 hp 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine. The 2.5XT Limited with its turbocharged 224 hp 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder is the most powerful Forester, and also the most expensive. Safety features include dual-stage front airbags, side-impact airbags, front active head restraints, antilock brakes and ABS with electronic brake-force distribution.
For 2007, changes to the Subaru Forester are minimal.

NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
