The Lotus Exige S is a small, compact sports coupe roadster. As a coupe variation of the Lotus Elise, the vehicle is made for drivers who strive for performance on everyday driving as well as on the track.
The Exige S is carried over from 2006 with the addition of a supercharger that pumps in 7.5 psi into its engine. This allows it to achieve 220 hp from its 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. It is a small 149.5 inches long and weighs a mere 2,077 pounds. Its light weight is achieved by constructing it out of composite bodywork and a 150lb aluminum chassis. It is available with three optional packages: limited-slip differential with traction control, Track Pack, and Touring Pack.
For 2007, the Lotus Exige gains a supercharger and is re-badged the Lotus Exige 'S.'
