2006 Lotus Elise Overview

Introduction

The Lotus Elise is a small, compact sports car roadster. Originally debuted in 1996, the Lotus Elise is designed for drivers who strive for performance on everyday driving as well as on the track.

The Elise has seats for only two and comes equipped with a lightening fast 190 horsepower, 1.8-liter in-line 4 cylinder that produces 138lb-ft of torque at 6800 rpm and propels the small roadster from zero to sixty in less than five seconds. Interior and exterior features are completely race inspired and suspension and acceleration are among the Elise's strong points, featuring track quality and industry respected parts. Body paneling and the removable roof on the cab are constructed out of fiberglass.

Changes for 2006 are insignificant.
