2007 Kia Sorento Overview

Introduction

The Kia Sorento is a mid-size SUV that packs a big V6 engine. It's built like a truck, with a separate truck-style frame, but it maintains a civil attitude on the pavement.

The Sorento comes standard with rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive is available. There are two four-wheel drive options. One is a 4WD on demand system and the other is an all-wheel drive type of system that transfers power to different wheels when it senses loss of traction. 16-inch wheels connect the Sorento to the road. It is powered by a 262 hp 3.8-liter V-6 and mated to a five-speed automatic with sequential-shifting mode. Kia discontinued the Sorento's five-speed manual.

For 2007, the Kia Sorento receives a power increase and some additional safety features.
