2007 Hyundai Elantra Overview
Introduction
The redesigned Hyundai Elantra is an economic compact car with handsome styling and nice lines. It stands on top of its class in two areas, interior space and standard safety equipment.
The Elantra is taller, wider and longer in wheelbase than last year's model. It can seat up to five and has storage compartments galore. It comes in three trim levels: GLS, SE, and Limited, all of which use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Buyers have a choice between five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmission for each trim level. Safety features that come on all Elantra models include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, and active front head restraints.
For 2007, the Hyundai Elantra is fully redesigned.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
