The Hyundai Accent sedan brings some suave to the entry-level family segment and the coupe offers hip accessories ranging from a strut-tower brace to faux carbon-fiber trim.
Power comes from a clean 1.6-liter double overhead-cam engine, featuring variable valve timing. A five-speed manual transmission is standard, a four-speed automatic transmission is optional. The environmentally friendly Accent is an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle and rates 37 mpg on the EPA Highway scale. It has great safety features including seatbelt pre-tensioners and six airbags (front, seat-mounted side-impact, and side-curtain) as standard on all models. The Accent is available in basic GS coupe, a nicer GLS four-door sedan, and a sporty SE coupe.
For 2007, the Hyundai Accent includes a coupe into its model lineup.
