For purposes of this study, the Suburban 1500 and 2500 were combined, as they have much in common. They do differ in a couple of respects, however. One is price range, and the other is engine options. The engines on the 1500 are a standard 310-hp 5.3-liter V8 on the LS, and an optional 366-hp 6.0-liter V8 on the LT and LTZ.
