Dodge Demon Concept
This concept proves that no niche is safe from the butcher-than-thou automaker. Some think it's a thing of beauty, others maintain that the crosshair grille has no place on a roadster. Regardless, most agree that this is strictly a design exercise, since going head-to-head with the other lightweight heavyweights in the market would prove to be too taxing on the DCX crew.

Hyundai QarmaQ Concept
Hyundai debut the QarmaQ Concept at Geneva. The QarmaQ is a joint initiative with GE Plastics, and features "performance composites and thermoplastics" where conventional cars use metals and glass. The coupe-like crossover is a styling preview of the next Hyundai Tucson.

KTM X-Bow
KTM officially unveiled its two-seater tarmac toy in Geneva. Structurally, the X-Bow looks the biz, with acres of carbon fiber, exposed suspension components and meaty stoppers. The Ariel Atom finally has some serious competition, but with an initial limited run of 100 units and some distinct differences between the two, this particular niche can probably support another offering.

BMW M3 Concept
As expected, BMW debut its M3 Concept in Geneva. In a word: stunning. It's the picture of four-wheeled performance. From its bulging fenders, gaping air inlets, carbon fiber roof and 420+ HP V-8; everything about the M3 Concept screams tire-smoking motoring of the highest order.

Mazda Hakaze Concept
The Hakaze is as "ambitious," "beautifully fluid", and, when referring to recent concepts from Mazda, it's a "modern Pininfarina with a Japanese flare." Like the Nagare and Ryuga concepts, the Hakaze adds a "flying leaf" motif to the mix. The body surface mimics its predecessors with ripples, which Mazda's designers are calling the "flop" technique of color manipulation.

Opel GTC Concept
Opel took the official wraps off its new hotness, the Gran Turismo Concept, and if there's anything that could get Opel's sexyback, this is it. As far as concepts go, it's not the most radical design, but it probably gives the best hint at the future of the Opel abroad and possibly Saturn here at home.

Rinspeed eXasis
The open-wheeled excess continues -- this time it comes courtesy of the wacky blokes over at Rinspeed. Wrapped in a translucent body, the eXasis gives you a voyeuristic view of all the internal components, including the bioethanol burning, 150 HP, two-cylinder 750cc mid-mounted engine.

Spyker C12 Zagato
Based on Spyker's flagship C12 model, the Zagato version uses a 6.0L W12 engine sourced from the only company in the world that makes those engines - Volkswagen. Here it produces 500bhp (a supercharger can be added that bumps power to 650bhp) and will launch the relatively lightweight (3,086 lbs.) C12 Zagato to 60 mph in a short 3.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 193 mph.

TechArt GTstreet
The GTstreet is a 997 with 630 horses and an equally-amazing 600+ lb-ft of torque. The 0-60 claim of 3.2 seconds sounds quite reasonable, if not conservative. Like Porsche's Carrera GT, its top end is well over 200 mph. In fact, TechArt claims the car's top speed is 214 mph with its power upgrades and new aero body kit.
