The Ten Worst Cars Of 2013
They can't all be winners. Although 2013 gave us a lot of great new cars, such as the Chevrolet Corvette, Audi RS7, Porsche Cayman and more, there were also a few stinkers.
Consumer Reports, the venerable publication that puts cars through a gauntlet of tests before deciding whether or not to recommend them to shoppers, put out its list of the worst cars that its analysts drove over the past year.
Head on through to see the vehicles that will certainly not be recommended unless they receive some significant updates.

The Honda Crosstour is supposed to be a cross between a sedan and an SUV, but it doesn't play the part very well. Consumer Reports found the Crosstour has huge blind spots and less cargo room than pure SUVs. The publication also thought it was far too expensive.

Cramped, expensive and packed with confusing technology, the Lincoln MKS scored too low for Consumer Reports to recommend. These flaws mean that Lincoln's flagship vehicle lags well behind its competition, the publication said. Visibility is also poor and the exterior design is not nearly as attractive as other vehicles in the segment.

Though the prospect of getting a Mercedes for under $30,000 may be very tempting, Consumer Reports says you should hold off on getting the CLA-Class. It's attractive and fuel efficient, but driving dynamics aren't great and it's next to impossible to find one for the $29,900 sticker price we've seen on all of those advertisements.

Consumer Reports found the Mitsubishi Outlander to be sluggish, heavy and unrefined, putting it at the bottom of the highly competitive small SUV segment. Things have been looking bleak for Mitsubishi here in the U.S. for some time now, and mediocre vehicles like the Outlander aren't helping.

Consumer Reports said that the Chevrolet Spark has some redeeming qualities, such as its low sticker price and connectivity features, but the small hatchback is utterly miserable to drive, as it is loud, slow and uncomfortable. The publication was also disappointed in the real-world fuel economy it achieved.
