2009 Volvo XC70 Overview
Introduction
The Volvo XC70 is a crossover wagon providing comfort and stability on the road, and security and peace of mind on rough roads or when the weather turns bad.
The XC70 is derived from the Volvo V70 wagon but includes higher ground clearance, SUV styling, and all-wheel drive. A 235-hp 3.2-liter inline-six is the base engine. New for 2009 is a 281-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine. Both are paired with a Geartronic six-speed automatic transmission, allowing driver selectable shifting. Safety features include electronic stability control, side-impact and side curtain airbags, and all-disc anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution. Standard equipment now includes Bluetooth.
For 2009, the Volvo XC70 adds the T6 turbocharged engine.
