I purchased a cute little no frills demo (nice neoprene upholstery but not leather and no sun roof) for my daughter's first car. I really love this car. I drive a Corolla and let me tell you, her little S40 has a lot of pep and drives like a dream. My base of comparison is my Corolla and the two are like night and day. <p>your figures are wrong I get 30 + mpg on the highway and 22 in local driving I use only regular unleaded gas .My only problem is the instrument panel is unreadable during the day and Volvo will not address the problem</p>
