2010 Volkswagen Touareg Overview
Introduction
The Volkswagen Touareg combines luxury, sophistication and good road manners with impressive off-road capability. This SUV will deliver you anywhere you desire in smooth, luxurious comfort.
The Touareg is available with a 3.6-liter V6 or a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel (TDI), which is mated to a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. 4XMotion permanent four-wheel drive is standard, along with dual-zone automatic climate control, power glass sunroof, cruise control, 17-inch alloy wheels, and power lift-gate. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control, side-impact airbags and side-curtain airbags.
For 2010, Bluetooth connectivity is now standard equipment. The 4.2-liter V8 is no longer offered.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
