Introduction

The Volkswagen Touareg combines luxury, sophistication and good road manners with impressive off-road capability. This SUV will deliver you anywhere you desire in smooth, luxurious comfort.

The Touareg is available in 280-hp 3.6-liter V-6, 350-hp 4.2-liter V-8, and 310-hp 5.0-liter V-10 TDI diesel versions. All Touareg models have a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, and 4XMOTION permanent four-wheel drive standard. Creature comforts include a 10-speaker audio system, genuine wood trim, power sunroof, dual-zone air conditioning, heated seats and multi-function leather steering wheel. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control, six airbags, front safety belt pretensioners, daytime running lights, heated mirrors and washer jets, rain sensing wipers and theft-deterrent system.

For 2007, the Touareg is updated with the new direct-injection 3.6-liter V-6 engine, replacing the 3.2-liter V-6 offered in previous model years.
