2006 Volkswagen Phaeton Overview

Introduction

The Volkwagen Phaeton is a luxury car for people who prefer to wear their designer labels on the inside of their clothing. If you can afford a hand-built luxury car, then you may find that this Volkswagen more than meets your needs.

The Phaeton is available in four- or five-passenger versions. It is standard with air-suspension, 4Motion all-wheel drive, Xenon HID headlights, and a navigation system. It is powered by a 335 hp 4.2-liter V-8 mated to a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission or a 444 hp 6.0-liter W-12 with a five-speed Tiptronic automatic. Standard safety features include side-curtain airbags, side-impact airbags, antilock brakes, traction control, active head restraints and an Electronic Stabilization Program.

For 2006, the Phaeton receives more horsepower.
