Wife Loves her 1999 Bug
My wife loves her 1999 New Beatle. Its easy to drive, very spirited with the turbo. Great gas mileage. Easy car to drive, great visability, and is still going strong at 71,000 miles. As some point she will trade it in for another New Beatle.
Mechanicaly we had same minor issues, but covered under warrantee, mostly electrical and window.
We did take it on a 1000 miles trip and for a large man I was suprisenly comfortable driving the car. Only improvement I can think of is the cabin noise…
