2006 Volkswagen Golf Overview
Introduction
Volkswagen Golf offers driving excellence and high levels of refinement. It's agile and responsive, making it fun to drive. Yet it's remarkably practical, and offers admirable gas mileage.
The Golf is only available as a front-wheel drive four-door hatchback this year. It seats up to four-passengers and comes with things like all-season tires and 15-inch wheels. It comes with a 115 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. An optional turbocharged diesel 1.9-liter four-cylinder is also available that makes 100hp. The gasoline engine works with a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission. The diesel engine uses a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic with manual gear selection. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, side-impact airbags for the front seats, and side-curtain airbags.
The Volkswagen Golf is a carryover from 2005.
