The 2008 Toyota Highlander is a mid-size crossover SUV. It promises top-notch quality, durability and reliability.

Redesigned for 2008, the Toyota Highlander is now bigger and more powerful. Offered in front-wheel or all-wheel drive all models are powered by a 270-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission. With the rear and third row seats folded there is almost 15 cubic feet more interior volume than the 2007 model. Three rows of seats enable the Highlander to seat 7 people. The second row features reclining and sliding captain's chairs that can be converted to a bench seat for three passengers using a center seat cushion. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, traction control, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, and vehicle stability control with electronic power steering. A stand-alone backup camera is fitted on all but the base model.

The Toyota Highlander is redesigned for 2008.
