The Avalon, Toyota's flagship passenger car, exemplifies quality with its full-size and emphasis on quiet, ease, and convenience.
The Avalon is available in four trim levels: XL, Touring, XLS, and Limited. All are powered by a 268 hp 3.5-liter V6, connected to a six-speed automatic transmission with a sequential-shift feature. Standard safety features on all models include driver and front-passenger airbags, seat-mounted side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, and a driver's knee airbag. Active safety features include anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution.
For 2008, the Toyota Avalon receives a new six-speed automatic transmission and more aggressive exterior styling, as well some interior trim upgrades.
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
