The THINK City is, as its name implies, a small, fully electric, city commuter vehicle similar in size to a smart car, with the exception of being almost 18-inches longer overall.
The City is a two seat, two door hatchback. It's powered by a 37kW (peak) motor and a 24kW lithium-ion battery, which will take the City to a top speed of 70 miles per hour and a range of 100 miles. Charging time is about eight hours from a 240-volt outlet, and it can also be trickle-charged from any standard 120-volt outlet. The body panels are made of recyclable plastic and are molded in four different colors, there's no paint to scratch. Safety features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, driver and passenger front airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system.
THINK is a Norwegian-based company that has been designing and producing vehicles since the early 1990's, the company has set up a manufacturing facility in Elkhart, Indiana to supply the US market starting in 2011.
