2009 Subaru Impreza Overview
Introduction
The Subaru Impreza offers all-weather capability at a reasonable price.
The base Impreza model features a 170-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 4-speed automatic. The new GT trim features a turbocharged version producing 224-hp. WRX models have 265-hp under the hood. All Impreza's are all-wheel drive and can be had either as a hatchback or sedan. Safety features such as six airbags, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, traction-control and stability-control are standard
A new GT trim and a bump in power for the WRX are the most notable additions to the 2009 Impreza line-up.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
