2001 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport Overview

Introduction

The Subaru Impreza Outback Sport is roomy, comfortable, and can go almost anywhere. This wagon offers premium technology, loads of safety features, excellent handling, and all-weather capability. A more rugged version of the Impreza, the Outback Sport is attractive to those who want some of the capability of the Outback for a more affordable price.

The Outback Sport is a 5-passenger wagon powered by a 142 hp @ 5600 rpm 2.2L 4-cylinder engine, which is teamed with either a standard 5-speed manual or optional 4-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard. The upfront occupants are protected with dual front airbags. Antilock brakes come standard and features four sensors and four channels.

The Subaru Impreza Outback Sport received no changes for the 2001 model year as an all-new model was introduced in 2002.
