The Subaru Forester is a crossover vehicle that combines some of the best attributes of a sport-utility vehicle with the ride and driving dynamics of a car.
The Forester comes in five variants: 2.5 X, Sports 2.5 X, 2.5 X L.L.Bean Edition, Sports 2.5 XT, 2.5 XT Limited. Three of the five variants are powered by a 173 hp 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine. The Sports 2.5 XT and 2.5 XT Limited both feature a 224-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder. Safety features include dual-stage front airbags, side-impact airbags, front active head restraints, and antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution.
For 2008, the Subaru Forester gets a slight redesign.
