2003 Porsche Boxster Overview

Introduction

The Boxster is Porsche's more affordably priced 2-door convertible.

For 2003, two trims are available on the Boxster: the base and the more powerful S model. The Boxster base model comes equipped with a 2.7L H-6 engine, which outputs 225 hp @ 6300 rpm and 192 lb-ft @ 4750 rpm. With an upgrade to the S trim, customers receive the more powerful 3.2L H-6 engine, which produces 258 hp @ 6200 rpm and 229 lb-ft @ 4500 rpm. The base trim comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the S is built with a 6-speed manual transmission. Both models offer an optional 5-speed automatic transmission as well. Standard features on the Boxster include: ABS, 4-wheel disc brakes, heated mirrors, and side-impact airbags. The Boxster averages 17-20 mpg city and 26-29 mpg highway driving.

For 2003, Porsche Boxster receives some appearance modifications such as refined scoops and intakes, making the car more aerodynamic than in previous years.
