2009 Pontiac Solstice Overview
Introduction
The Pontiac Solstice combines power, a host of amenities and a stylish appearance for an affordable price.
The Solstice comes in two trims: the Base and the GXP. The Base is powered by a 173-hp 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine and the GXP has a 260-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual or an optional five-speed automatic transmission. The Base comes equipped with: electronic traction and stability control, a limited slip rear differential, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, 18-inch alloy wheels and satellite radio. The GXP adds: dual-exhaust tips, sport-tuned suspension, a leather shift knob and steering wheel and carpeted floor mats.
For 2009, a coupe model with a removable targa-styled roof was introduced. The GXP trim adds Bluetooth as standard equipment.
