2006 Pontiac GTO Overview
Introduction
The current Pontiac GTO represents the car it would be today if it had been kept around and allowed to mature, to learn new moves, to adapt to and adopt new technology, but always remembering how to have fun.
The GTO is an icon of the American muscle car automotive industry. This rear-wheel drive muscle car seats up to four people and comes standard with a black leather interior. It is powered by a 400 hp LS2 6.0-liter V-8 engine. There is the option of either a four-speed automatic transmission or a Tremec six-speed manual. Also standard are traction control and a limited-slip differential.
The Pontiac GTO is a carryover from 2005.
