Review of 2008 Nissan Versa
bought the 2008 s model 6 speed hatchback in oct 0f 2007, the car is ok for all around driving. front seat is ok would like telescoping sterring weel.milage is only 29m.p.g. and i drive very easy on the gas. at 4000 miles i had to replace a fuel module, that's not to good for a new car.u can't beat the price, but if i had to do it again i would buy a toyata crolla,a few dollos more but worth it better gas milage a bigger car ,i rate this car a 8 out of 10 just know u can do better for a few dollors more. would i recommend it to friend yes.
Dump that Smart car!
After waiting 8 months on a silly waiting list and being told to wait another year for a Smart car I cancelled my order and bought me a 2008 Nissan Versa. At $12,900.00 ($3,000 less than the Smart)I have 5 confortable seats, 128 Horsepower, ABS brakes, 5 airbags, and a real car. And I got to drive it home last night!Dump the Smart car and the hype! There are many choices of cheaper and better cars out there.
I agree on the mpg being off
I havent had the car for a week yet and I had to fill up the tank already! The reason why I baught this car was to save on gas, well thats not happening. I drive about 450 miles a week and I had to fill the car for the first time at 290 miles. the gas light was on and the gauge was almmost on E. It's a nice car besides but I wish I would've known before about the gas guzzling!
Mileage is Waaaay off
I get compliments everyday on how cute my little versa is and I must say, I do love it. It's quick, roomy, comfortable and fun to drive. BUT the MPG is a lie. Not just a little one. A huge fat lie. I get better mileage in my kia SUV. :(
TERRIBLE CAR DONT BUY !!!!
I BOUGHT THIS CAR THINKING IT COULD HAUL SOMETHING IT WAS TERRIBLE TRYING TO GET MY BIKE TO GO RIDING IN THE PARK!

I had not even considered a Nissan. I was trying out the usual Toyota's (including the Prius), Honda's and Suburu's and then then KIA's and Hyundai's..and couldn't commit to any of them for one reason or another and I needed a New Car-mine was 17 years old! Then I went to the Nissan dealer one day when it was convenient to (went to my Vet in that part of the city) and test drove this VERSA in the hatchback with intelli key/cvt/bluetooth and was wowed by the upgrades and the PEPPY ride, not to mention the room in it- hadn't gone 2 blocks and told the sales guy-SOLD!! I really wanted a Hybrid for obvious reasons UNTIL one salesman aked me-"Would you buy a Used on"?? NO I would not! This VERSA is Perfect for around town and No problems on the highway-zips right along. I went from a 2.2 engine to a 1.8 and I am HAPPY! bought a new 07 with 08's coming in and got a Great Deal too!

I took my time in researching smaller compact cars.

I took into consideration not only price, but safety ratings. I liked the look of the Versa and the cost. It also has received very strong safety ratings based on being a sub-compact vehicle-comparatively-it is a sporty ride and hugs the road quite well when going on average 45-65 miles per hour. I have not driven the car on a long excursion yet, so I will not rate the longer drive, however, it is a fun car to drive! Originally, I looked into purchasing the Hatchback, but I settled on the 4 door Sedan-You will love the sound system! For a smaller car-it is exceptional. The air conditioning is very good, and the trunk space is roomy! I purchased the onyx-blue-it has a nice look to it-especially with lights shining on it during the day or night! Great price-great car!
