The all-new for 2009 Nissan 370Z coupe has been completely redesigned with more performance in mind. The body has been lightened, shortened and lowered and the engine size and power has been increased to take full advantage of the new body.

The Nissan 370Z coupe has three trims available: the Base model, Touring, and NISMO. Both, Base and Touring models come standard with a new 332-hp 3.7-liter V6, and a six-speed manual transmission. An optional seven-speed automatic with paddle shifters is available on both trims. The performance oriented NISMO hosts a 350-hp 3.7-liter V6, and a six-speed manual transmission with SyncroRev. Safety features include six airbags, active head restraints, tire pressure monitoring system, anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force distribution and brake assist, electronic traction and stability control, and LED brakelights. An available Sport package, on the Base and Touring trim, brings a new feature to market known as SynchroRev Match on the manual transmission; what this does is match the engine rpms to the transmission while downshifting, thus providing smooth and seamless transitions from gear to gear. The Sport package also adds 19-inch forged alloy wheels, a limited slip differential, spoilers and sport brakes.

Overall, the 2009 Nissan 370Z is 2.7 inches shorter and 1.3 inches wider, and although the styling has something plainly in common with the previous (2008) model, almost every plane and contour is subtly or distinctly different. ... Read Full Review

    AT A GLANCE

It's nice to see that the Z has evolved effectively, yet gradually, with its main attribute-value-firmly in place. The 370Z continues to offer the style and performance of European sports cars at a fraction of their price, a tradition started by the original 240Z back in 1970.
