The Mercury Mariner Hybrid comes with an advanced low emissions hybrid drivetrain and bold styling.
The Mariner Hybrid features a four-cylinder engine linked to an electric motor. The net result of this union is acceleration similar to that of a V6, with enhanced fuel economy and reduced emissions. As a full hybrid, in low-load conditions, the Mariner Hybrid can run on electric power only. The Hybrid uses a continuously variable transmission, or CVT that further enhances this hybrids efficiency. Available with either two-wheel, or four-wheel-drive, this versitile vehicle offers something everyone. Safety features include; front and side airbags for the front seats, and side-curtain airbags that cover both rows, as well as AdvanceTrac (stability control) with anti-rollover technology.
For 2008, the Mariner Hybrid is completely redesigned.
