2006 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Overview
Introduction
The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is an exotic high-performance coupe that is the pinnacle of speed and power in the Mercedes lineup.
It is hand-built at the AMG factory and has a largely carbon-fiber structure. Standard features include navigation system, ceramic composite brake discs, and adaptive rear spoiler. It has seating for two. It is powered by an enormous 617 hp supercharged and intercooled 5.5-liter V-8. It is controlled by a five-speed automatic transmission with three settings: comfort, sport and manual. Knee airbags, door-mounted side-impact airbags, and an Electronic Stability Program are standard.
The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a carryover from 2005.
