Introduction

The ML-Class SUV is the original luxury sport utility in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. Comfortably sized, it seats five with room for plenty of luggage, drives like a sedan, and is a capable off-roader.

Equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission, which is a four-wheel drive, the ML-class is available in two models: ML350 or ML500. The ML350 is powered by a 3.7-liter V-6 generating 232 hp @ 5750rpm. The ML500 is powered by a 5-liter V-6, generating 288 hp @ 5600rpm. The ML350 has a fuel economy of 15mpg for city driving and 18mpg for highway. In contrast, the ML500 uses 14mpg for city driving and 17mpg for highway driving. Standard on the ML350 is ABS brakes and air conditioning. The ML500 comes equipped with leather, dual front and side airbags and power locks/windows. Options include heated front seats, DVD navigational system and a sunroof package for both models.

For 2004, the ML350 replaces the ML320.
