2000 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Overview
Introduction
The M-Class SUV is the original luxury sport utility in the Mercedes-Benz lineup.
The M-Class SUV, which seats five comfortably and has plenty of room for luggage, drives like a sedan and is a capable off-roader. Equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission and electronically managed all-wheel drive, the M-class is available in three models. The ML320 is powered by a 3.2L V-6 engine, which generates 215 hp @ 5600 rpm and 233 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm, while the ML430 is powered by Mercedes' 4.3L V-8 engine, which produces 268 hp @ 5500 rpm and 288 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm. However, the top of the line M-Class SUV, the ML55 AMG, is outfitted with a 5.4L V-8 engine, which has an impressive output of 342 hp @ 5500 rpm and 376 lb-ft @ 2800 rpm. For 2000, the impressively equipped M-Class includes standard features such as: traction control, and front and side airbags. Premium audio, sunroof, and seat-position memory are examples of additional available options.Next Steps »
