I decided to try my first Mercedes as I always thought about it as an old persons car. So in my forties I bought my first E-class. The car run great but I expect more technology features in a luxury car. For example, the blue tooth technology does not adjust the phone call volume automatically. The manual volume adjust is limited and 80% of the time I can not hear the other caller well at the limit of volume adjustment even though I have great hearing This is very disappointing and nearly renders the blue tooth feature useless. The sound system is OK and should be improved. I never feel enveloped in sound. Moreover, the central front speaker vibrates when I listen to satellite talk radio whic is very irritating. The voice activated controls do not work well and are not intuitive as I now expect from all my computer gagets. Lastly, despite having a navigation screen and DVD player there was no built in rear camera or rear back up audio sensor which I consider a standard in a luxury $50,000 car. I felt as though I steped backwards in time compared to the features of my Audi from 5 years ago. I hope the designers at Mercedes realize, we grew up with Apple and we expect things to work just as easily! I would not get another one unless it is more fun to drive than the current model.
