1999 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class Overview

Introduction

The Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is perfect for those who want a luxurious, athletic, rear-wheel drive coupe.

Available in two models, the CL-Class is a 2-door grand touring coupe with seating for four. The CL500 is powered by a 315 hp @ 5600 rpm 5.0L V-8 engine and 5-speed automatic transmission. The CL600 includes a 389 hp @ 5200 rpm 6.0L V-12 engine and 5-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features include front and side airbags and traction control. Optional on the CL-Class is an adaptive damping suspension system, voice-activated cellular phone technology and a navigation system.

The CL-Class carries over with minimal change from 1998 as there was a redesign in 2000.
