2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class Overview

Introduction

The Mercedes-Benz CLK Class blends style, luxury and sporty performance in three great trims.

The CLK320 and the CLK430 are available in both coupe and convertible models. The CLK320's 3.2L V-6 engine, which produces 215 hp @ 5700 rpm and 229 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm, is slightly more modest than the CLK430's 4.3L V-8 engine, which outputs 275 hp @ 5750 rpm and 295 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm, though both come with the standard 5-speed automatic transmission. The CLK55, which is the power house of the three available trims, is powered by a 5.4L V-8 engine, 342 hp @ 5500 rpm and 376 lb-ft @ 2800 rpm, which also comes with the standard 5-speed automatic transmission. The safety features on the CLK Class vehicles include: door and front mounted air bags, anti lock breaks, and seat belt pre-tensioners. Also available are cool features such as the luxurious 8-speaker 6-disc CD system, voice activation and the built in Motorola TimePort phone.

For 2001, Mercedes-Benz CLK Class remains unchanged, with exception of the CLK55, which is new to this model year.
