The Mazda Tribute is the vehicle for you if you want a little zoom in your compact utility. It is fun to drive and provides all the convenient qualities of a compact SUV.
The Tribute has seating for up to five passengers. It has an independent opening rear window and liftgate for easier access to rear cargo. It is available with two engine options: a 153 hp 2.3-liter four-cylinder or a 200 hp 3.0-liter V6. Only the i Sport FWD trim offers a five-speed manual, all other FWD and AWD trim levels, regardless of engine, are standard with a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features include electronic stability control with roll control, front, side and curtain airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes and tire pressure monitoring.
The Mazda Tribute returns for 2008 after skipping the 2007 model year, with refreshed styling inside and out, as well as new trim levels and new paint choices.
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
