2008 Mazda MAZDA5 Sport 4dr Wagon Overview

Mazda's subcompact crossover is tiny yet versatile, seating up to six passengers or hauling just about any shape cargo thanks to its two rows of folding seats.

The Mazda5 is almost like a minivan in miniature, with sliding doors and a vertical liftgate out back, in addition to styling reminiscent of minivan. Offered in Sport, Touring, or Grand Touring trims, it's powered by a 2.3-liter, 153-hp, four-cylinder engine with available five-speed manual or five-speed automatic. Second row bucket seats can recline and slide while 3-row side-curtain airbags provide protection for everyone on board. Standard safety features include antilock brakes, six airbags, engine immobilizer and adjustable headrests at all seating positions.

For 2008, the Mazda5 has been restyled inside and out, is available in five new paint colors, comes with an auxiliary audio jack, tire pressure monitoring and has a new five-speed automatic transmission to replace the old four-speed.
