2011 Mazda MAZDA3 Review Summaries
What reviewers liked most about the Mazda MAZDA3:
Much to our relief, the sequel to the original 3 maintains what we liked and even manages to improve on the original.
-- Car and Driver
What reviewers liked least about the Mazda MAZDA3:
The 4.1-inch LCD screen also serves as the navigation display in cars outfitted with the technology package. The screen, which is smaller than a portable Garmin display, is placed too far away from the driver position and is subject to glare.

Mazda MAZDA3 Comparisons:
The base 2.0-liter four-cylinder remains unchanged in terms of power, but fuel economy has improved thanks to a new five-speed automatic transmission. While not quite at the gas-sipping level of the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, the new 3 can no longer be slagged for relatively gluttonous fuel consumption.

Best one-liner about the Mazda MAZDA3:
Right up front, with the new wide-mouth-bass look. With its jaunty cheek ducts and teardrop eyes, this is basically the RX-8's face projected in IMAX.
-- Car and Driver
Happily, though, the new 3 is a delight, more "Empire Strikes Back" than "Caddyshack 2."
