2006 Mazda B2300 Overview
Introduction
The Mazda B2300 is Mazda's entry-level pickup truck. As a cousin of the ford Ranger, the B2300 shares similar design cues but differs under the hood and in options available.
The B2300 is available only as a regular cab pickup. It comes powered with a 143-horsepower, 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine matted to either a five manual with overdrive or a five speed automatic with overdrive that delivers between 21 to 24 city miles per gallon and 36 to 29 highway miles per gallon. As an entry-level vehicle, many options are available, including air conditioning, however, driver and front passenger airbags are standard.
Changes are insignificant for 2006, as the entire B-series truck line was redesigned in 2005.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
