2005 Maserati GranSport Overview

Introduction

The Maserati GranSport is a high-performance exotic sports car.

The GranSport runs off a 396 hp 4.2-liter V-8 engine. It has a Combiocorsa transmission derived from F1 racing technology. Active vehicle enhancements include stability and traction control, integrated ABS, ASR, MSR and EBD functions, all of which can be turned off via the Normal or Sport driving modes. It rides on 19? wheels and stops using large Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers.

The Maserati GranSport is all new for 2005.

The GranSport comes as a hardtop or convertible. It seats four passengers inside its luxurious leather, carbon fiber, alloy and fabric interior. It is powered by a 396 hp 4.2-liter V-8 that is controlled by a Cambiocorsa six-speed paddle shift transmission. The transmission comes with four modes: Normal, Sport, Automatic and Low Grip. Safety features include all-disc antilock brakes and front side-impact airbags.

For 2006, the Maserati GranSport is now available as a convertible spyder.
