The Lexus IS 250 is a true rear-wheel-drive sports sedan. It's quick and fun to drive thanks to its balanced chassis and advanced electronic stability control system.

The Lexus IS 250 is powered by a 2.5-liter V6, which sends 204 horsepower to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The IS 250 is also available with a six-speed automatic with Formula 1 inspired paddle-shifters. The all-wheel drive model is a good sports sedan for the Snow Belt. Safety features include driver and front-passenger knee airbags. The brakes are large and effective four-wheel discs, clamped at the front by aluminum four-piston calipers. Augmenting the big brakes have ABS, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, and Brake Assist. Traction control also comes standard.

New for 2007 is the X-Package a sporty performance package.
