Introduction

The Land Rover Range Rover is the top-of-the-line Land Rover offering authentic all-terrain capability combined with a beautiful European-flavor cabin and the latest in safety features. The 2006 Range Rover comes in two trim levels, the HSE and Supercharged. The HSE is powered by a 305-horsepower, 4.4-liter V8 engine. The Supercharged gets a 400-horsepower, 4.2-liter V8. Both engines are mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission. Both feature permanent four-wheel-drive. Safety equipment on all Range Rovers is comprehensive. Eight airbags come standard: front, side, and head airbags for driver and front-seat passenger, as well as head and seat-mounted side airbags for rear outboard passengers.

For 2009, the Land Rover Range Rover carries over with minimal changes. A new optional Autobiography Package debuts on the Supercharged trim, including exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels, extended leather and wood trim elements, four-zone climate control and a rear seat entertainment system.

Standard safety features include seven airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, electronic stability control with traction control and roll mitigation, front and rear park assist and tire pressure monitoring.

For 2010, the Land Rover Range Rover gets more powerful engines, as well as a revised exterior with LED tail lamps and interior enhancements. A new hard-drive-based navigation system debuts on both trim levels, along with push button start and a portable audio interface that supports USB and iPod connectivity. Additionally, a surround camera system and reclining rear seats are now available.
