2010 Land Rover LR4 Overview
Introduction
New for 2010, the LR4 is Land Rover's fourth generation of versatile mid-size SUV, replacing the previous generation LR3 model. It combines responsive on-road performance with go-anywhere off-road capability in a single rugged vehicle that still retains typical Land Rover levels of comfort and luxury.
The five-passenger LR4 is offered in one well-equipped trim level. Power is supplied by a new 375-hp 5.0-liter V8 engine with direct fuel injection, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with CommandShift manual shift control. Full-time four-wheel drive with Land Rover's acclaimed 'Terrain Response' system, an electronic air suspension and hill descent control help the LR4 tackle any off-road situation. Standard features include a glass alpine roof, 19-inch alloy wheels, leather seat upholstery and dual-zone automatic climate control; an optional third row boosts seating capacity to seven. Safety equipment includes four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, electronic stability control with traction control and roll mitigation, rear park assist and a tire pressure monitor, as well as front, front side-impact and overhead curtain airbags for all rows.
The Land Rover LR4 is all-new for 2010, replacing last year's LR3 model. The LR4 receives a more powerful engine, refreshed exterior styling with LED tail lamps, and an upgraded interior. Additionally, a new hard-drive-based navigation system is available, along with a portable audio interface that supports USB and iPod connectivity.
