2005 Lamborghini Gallardo Overview
Introduction
The Lamborghini Gallardo is Lamborghini's more competitively priced supercar. Aimed at competing with the Ferrari label, the two door sportscar delivers Lamborghini performance for a lot less than its older brother, the Murcielago.
The Gallardo is an Italian supercar that seats two. It has a lightweight aluminum body and unlike its older brother the Murcielago, it does not have ?scissor doors.? Rather, it has conventional front-hinged doors. It is powered by a 493 hp 5.0-liter V-10 that is mated to a six-speed automatic ?E-gear? transmission with sequential shifting. Its four-wheel drive system is dynamic and adjusts front to rear-wheel power under different road conditions. Safety features include electronic brake-force distribution, side-impact airbags, dual-stage front airbags, and electronic stability control.
For 2005, the Lamborghini Gallardo will debut a Spyder convertible.
