2008 Kia Sportage Overview

Introduction

The Kia Sportage is a compact SUV that offers a comprehensive set of safety features, excellent versatility, and tremendous value, costing thousands less than the competition.

The Sportage is a five passenger vehicle that comes in two trims: LX and EX. The choice of front-wheel or four-wheel drive is available for both trim levels. Also an option for each is a 140 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine or a 173 hp 2.7-liter V-6 engine. A four-speed Automatic is standard for all V-6 models, while a five-speed manual is standard on the four-cylinder LX. Standard safety features include all-disc antilock brakes, an electronic stability system and six airbags, including side curtain airbags.

The Kia Sportage is a carryover from 2007, with one slight change - new embossed markings for the side mirror controls.
