1999 Kia Sportage Overview

Introduction

The Kia Sportage is a compact SUV that offers a comprehensive set of safety features, excellent versatility, and tremendous value costing thousands less than the competition.

The Sportage is a 5 passenger vehicle that is available as both a 4-door and 2-door, and comes in two trims, Base and EX (EX is available on 4-door versions only). The choice of front-wheel or four-wheel drive is available for both body styles and trim levels. All Sportages get a 130 hp @ 5,500 rpm 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The 2-door Kia Sportage is new for the 1999 model year.
