The Kia Optima Hybrid is a four-door sedan that uses a gasoline engine and electric motor combination designed to improve efficiency.
The Optima Hybrid uses a 2.4-liter gas engine and electric motor which produce a combined 206-hp. Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include traction control, stability control, anti-lock brakes with brake assist, curtain airbags, whiplash preventing headrests and more. The hybrid has a unique grille, projector headlights, LED taillights, front and rear fascia designs, sculpted side sills, and low rolling resistance tires. Interior accommodations include smart key with push button start, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power windows, cruise control, cloth power driver's seat and more.
The Optima Hybrid is all-new for 2011.

Not that it would help. As other world carmakers stroll along at their customary dignified pace, Kia and Hyundai continue to lunge forward by leaps and bounds. What takes the others six or seven years to accomplish, Korea does in half the time. The rate of improvement in Korean cars is almost alarming.
