I first experinced a Liberty when my corvette was in the shop for repairs and I needed a rental. I was impressed enough that I bought one as my second car. It performed so well I started driving the Liberty and it became my primary vehicle. I was always thinking this must be a quality built 4WD since I never had problems. My biggest decision was where to stop for gas! I keep my oil changed every 3000 miles and have the recommended maintence done.

I have owned a lot of 4WD vehicles, both for personal use and buisness (where I have owned four at a time). The Liberty is the best of the lot.

It gets a true 17 mpg around town, and 20 to 22 on the highway. It is not as comfortable as a car-based utility vehicle, but it is a heck of a lot tougher. If maintained as directed in manual, virtually no mechanical issues in 3 1/2 years. Ride is smooth on highwy and city, not truck-like at all. Exterior looks as good as the day purchased. Comfortable interior. Great pick-up. Will always buy a Jeep.
