After I did extensive research on this model, I made the decision to purchase a 2005 x-type. I understood by my search that when they first rolled out the x-type in 2002 it was riddled with problems, and seems that that was all true. Fabulous car, after many BMWs and Mercedes,I love the Jag.goes like an antelope in the snow, handles like a sports car on dry roads. lots of power, fabulous stereo, easy to use GPS,sexy looks and very comfortable ride.great gas mileage.55K miles and no gripes or complaints...I look forward to the morning commute for the first time ever.

Picked up this car with only 6k miles ... now have aver 30k. Got to say, its been a jem! The bumper to bumper warranty and dealer service is the best I've ever seen. My boss has a M-B costing 1.5 x this one and he does not even get a loaner car! highly recommended.
