Beautiful and so, so expensive to keep
I bought a 2004 Jaguar XJ8 new in 2003. It was so beautiful, so elegant. Also so trouble free ... for a time. After the warranty expired, I experienced issue after issue. Mostly electronic related. This surprised me because I had owned a Jaguar prior to this with no problems. It really came to the point that the repairs costs were more than a new car payment. After a quote of close to $5000 for wear and age related repairs, I gave up. This car only had 32,000 miles! I will miss this car…
Fantastic Car
I own a XJR 2004 and love it. I drove it twice accross county. It does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. It is fast and smooth. I am a great fan of the J shift. It gives a driver far more control over the gears than a bump shift. I never wonder what gear I am in. I will miss it when the new XJ comes out. This car is stunning and one of the greatest values on the market today. I get 25+ mpg on the highway.
